Izi & Clau

Primeiro, Iziane:

"Q: Can you talk about Iziane Castro Marques?
Rothstein: She’s a pretty interesting kid. She’s trying to learn the language, No. 1. She’s 20 years old. She’s got extreme quickness, uncommon speed. She can get by people. She shoots the ball from the perimeter reasonably well. I think she’ll get better at it, but her ability to put the ball on the floor and get by people in the open court is really something interesting to watch. But more importantly, and we saw this the other night in the game against Phoenix, for the first time I started to see her understand a little of what we’re trying to do defensively. I saw how she can turn that quickness and agility into being a real good defender, also.

Q: Do you have to pretty much accept that she’s going to make mistakes and just go with it?
Rothstein: Yeah, I don’t think there’s any way of avoiding it, it’s just a part of the package and we’ll try to minimize her mistakes and try to put her in situations where she can succeed, which is not always do-able but we can try. She’s also -- for a young kid, a rookie -- played extremely well in the preseason."

"Claudia Neves brings the ability to stretch defenses. She’s got that NBA-range three-point shot and can be a backup to Debbie (Black) at the point, along with Tamara."
